Likewise, thrift stores are always full of people. If you think buying used is just for people who are on a tight budget, think again. Mixer I would love to buy a Kitchen Aid mixer, but that’s not yet in the budget. We’re fortunate to have an aunt and uncle who love to have the latest electronics and cameras.

My dad taught my mom how to drive manual, my uncle taught my aunt, my fiancé even taught his ex how to drive manual. But now that I’ve progressed in my practice these 5 years, and have the room in my budget, I have a $130 mat, a few sets of nice yoga clothes, and $2500 teacher training. I really assumed I would get it.

We are getting married this year, and we’ll get gifts from that, and we’ve already inherited several furniture items from my mom, my dad, and my aunt. We’re glad we didn’t buy any furniture, or we’d have quite the full house! They can certainly make a room look quite tacky if they are out in the open.

Thrift stores are also a great place to shop. Other treasured items we reuse every year include huge a mottled green glass ball ornament from my grandparents, a set of 1950′s angel candle holders from a favorite aunt and two 3 foot tall paper nutcrackers made by my kids in elementary school in the 1980′s.
