When I was a kid, I shook my head at my Aunt. For example a 1950′s Goebel Hummel figurine of a postman, was valued at several hundred dollars in 1997 (when my Aunt died and I was blessed with part of her collection) but recently sold on eBay for around $25. I didn’t do my research before wrapping those dollars in plastic.

When my Aunt died at 85, she had a full set of her own teeth. Seeing what happened to my parents and aunt was my ‘hit over the head’ I’m betting that my genetic makeup has a lot to do with how long my teeth last, but I finally saw the light on taking my dentist’s advice! She cared for her teeth.

My aunt and god-mother collected everything from spoons to stamps and dolls. I researched it, to see if the stock potentially still had monetary value but couldn’t find any information by searching online. Save those annual reports and dusty old stock certificates , they may be worth money! I vowed to frame it all for display.
