Luckily, not poor enough to wreck our lives, but basically we lived paycheck to paycheck—our philosophy was “As long as the bills are paid, spend it all.” I very much enjoy baking, and anytime there is an opportunity I’m trying something new in the kitchen. It’s amazing how much “little splurges” add up.
