We do put up decorations (ones I buy at garage sales or thrift stores and reuse each year). Cut it up, peel it, scrape it, bake it, then put it in the blender. We passed around pieces of food in the dark and told a story about how the pieces were parts of a body. No kids = no parties or haunted houses = money saved.
