Seals’ grandfather was a Kentucky sharecropper and coal miner and his grandma worked on the farm. In 1996 Seals pursued a solo career, collaborating with the legendary Rodney Crowell to co-produce his Warner Brothers album, The Truth. He spent two years performing in clubs, theaters and other venues across the country.
