The Squirrels Are Having a Peach Fest After hearing this, I searched gardening forums to see what kinds of critters eat peaches and found that squirrels are big offenders. But what would be causing all the fresh peach pits scattered under the tree? Deer would just swallow the whole peach, not carefully nibble the fruit and leave the pit.
