He is also thrifty and is much better at budgeting than I. We rarely go out to eat or do anything, so it’s a nice treat, a special time together, and a way to socialize them about eating at restaurants. I do blow money on other things, but nothing consistently. I am not tempted to splurge on jewelry, make-up, or manicures.
