Forced perspective is used throughout MK to give the illusion of grander buildings. Examples of this trick can be found on the buildings on Main Street and Cinderella Castle. Because it is unsafe to build underground in Florida, MK was designed has having two levels. The same goes for when addressing Cinderella Castle.

Facts about Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World: Cinderella Castle opened in the Magic Kingdom on October 1, 1971, and it took 18 months to build. Cinderella Castle is the most photographed building at Walt Disney World. The murals alone took 22 months and over 300,000 pieces of Italian glass to build the murals.
