There was the gas, the hotel, and the restaurants to pay for. I bring a hot plate and a skillet and sauce pan with me to the hotel to reheat freezer meals that I’ve made in advance. Use discounts on rental cars. Then, to compare prices, I shopped through Costco’s car rental program.

Here are three of my favorites: Show your AAA card at non-signature restaurants at the Swan or Dolphin: I used it at The Fountain at the Dolphin Hotel in August. AAA offers discounts on rentals cars, and allows you a discount to join their Club Gold program. AAA has discounts arranged with many airport parking services.
