Thrift stores are for more than just clothing, and they are great places to find used furniture for cheap. Some people wouldn’t be caught dead going into a thrift store, but they are often nice, clean stores where you can find great, gently used items at great prices. You also want to make sure they sell furniture too!

Americans historically have not haggled for better prices on most items. We go to the nice clean supermarket where the prices are individually marked and pay that price. To keep up we need to learn that negotiation (aka haggling) is acceptable, expected and useful. We need to practice haggling. Start the Haggle.
