If they tell me it is not currently on sale, I will politely ask to speak with a manager and ask them the same questions. This works really well in clothing stores, as well as home improvement warehouses like The Home Depot and Lowe’s.

I think it was last August when I was shopping for school clothes for my 5 year old. I politely said "no thank you" and she said "it will just take one minute" as she grabbed my hand and pulled me in. But instead I politely declined. I just don't have much of a need to go there very often. WOW, how can I refuse that bargain?,
