Use Only Your Personal Computer. Don’t go to the library and access your online banking there, and don’t do it at work either. Do your online banking from your personal computer only. If you access your online baking information from a shared computer, you may forget to log out, or the computer may not be secure.

Make sure you know who you are sharing your personal information with, especially your social security number (or EIN). If you don’t need paperwork that has your personal information on it, make sure that you shred it. If you don’t want to buy one, look for free shredding events at a local sheriff’s office, Office Depot or the library.
