A way to light up the house at night (kerosene lamps, candles, flashlights, camping lights). Flashlight for each with extra batteries. Sewing kit. Taking steps to prepare in case of a bad turn of events is a smart thing to do, but not if it becomes all consuming. Wood to burn in the wood burning stove we already own.
