Growing up in the 1950?s

School started after Labor Day and ended after Memorial Day. People cooked and ate at home. There wasn’t a restaurant on every corner and people didn’t eat out much. Most food at the grocery store came from the USA. They used aprons over them when they cooked. Kids walked to school.
