People cooked and ate at home. They used aprons over them when they cooked. Gasoline stations did not serve food, have coffee or provide bath rooms. TV’s had to warm up – when you turned them on, before the picture would come in. TV shows stopped at midnight. Food/shopping. Fast food was rare.
