I went to Michael's craft store and bought two sets of fake flowers, black ribbon, red thread, and jewelry jumpers (to hold the ribbon in place). (I I laid out my flowers on top of the ribbon; took the red thread and sewed the flowers onto the ribbon by overlapping each petal end.
