Many years ago, I got a little wooden chest from freecycle. The freecycle chest is pretty small. I painted it white, and I put it in Zoe’s room, and then Lisey’s, and then when I moved here, I brought it along and kept it in Lisey’s room. Look at the foot of the bed and you’ll see it.

Canners are readily available for sale at a great discount through online sellers at eBay and Craigslist. You might even luck out and find one listed on Freecycle or in your local paper’s classified ad section.

You can then take those old cell phones, clothes or magazines to the appropriate recycling depots, ustilize websites such as Craigslist or Freecycle to give away any items you want cleared out quickly and then have a yard sale or an online auction to rid yourself of those unwanted items that are still in saleable condition.

Selling on eBay, Amazon or Craigslist. Yard sales are great, especially if you have a lot of stuff that you just want to get rid of, but if you have fewer yet more expensive items – electronics, furniture, etc – than selling through an online marketplace like eBay, Amazon or Craigslist may be a better option.
