I remember thinking about how wonderful it would be to not have to worry about whether we had enough to pay for the propane gas to heat our home. Managing your finances gets a lot more complex and time consuming. That is one reason I hold my Grandma Rie’s Money Camp each summer with my grandchildren (our third generation).

Even the New York Times acknowledges that: As boomers join the ranks of grandparents, many are financing vacations for their children and grandchildren. My WWII era uncle and his wife made trips annually with one of their 4 grandchildren (a different one each year). Be clear about finances. Plan to handle all ages.
