These are things that I never did before having our daughter, but I have so little time to rest and so in this season, if I can find things to save some time so I can get sleep, some rest, spend more time together as a family, or otherwise feel more restored, I’m doing that. What’s the easiest/hardest part of being frugal?

I’m a long-distance cyclist, a triathlete, a wife, a mother of two, a sister, a daughter, a friend, DIY-er, and a community member! Sunrise with my daughter at Lake Michigan Our son is now 15, and about 25 hours into his private pilot’s license, which he’s funding by earning money working for my father-in-law.

Back when I was engaged and living on my own for the first time (I lived with my parents while in grad school to save on rent), I went to the library a lot and found a copy of the Tightwad Gazette. Eventually, when I was married and working at a library I ordered my own copy of the Complete Tightwad Gazette–and I still have it!
