Good public transportation - I am a big walker on trips, but sometimes you can't walk to wherever you're going. When you don't have a rental car a great transportation system is important. I walked 60 miles on a 10-day trip, and an entire marathon on a 3-day trip to Disney. I love hiking in a city.
