We planned to rent out the property and thought it would rent quite a few days of the year. Property values had risen considerably in our married lifetime and we thought they would continue to do so. Operating costs of keeping the condo rented have been higher than expected. Our accountant charges a lot to do our taxes.

You can use the difference in income to pay off debt, save or invest. Rent instead of own. If you calculate your mortgage interest, the cost of insurance and maintenance, buying can be much more expensive than renting. And if you rent, save money and then invest the difference. Use a 30-day list. Do it yourself.
