I have a rule now that if I want to buy a book, I need to donate one. And art supplies: I like to paint and draw, so every now and then I splash out. I also will pay more for some specialty food items, as I have several food allergies to deal with, and we eat a no-sugar diet. Also we can stop when we want or need to.
