Did you ever receive any financial education in school or from your parents? I have a distinct memory of being taught how to create a budget and write checks in 5th grade, and because my formal education is in mechanical engineering, I’ve also been taught project budgeting & estimating. Yes to both!

For 20 or so years I’ve been homeschooling my kids, and am now down to about 1 1/2 (one full-time homeschooler, and one doing College Credit Plus with some support). I have a rule now that if I want to buy a book, I need to donate one. Did you ever receive any financial education in school or from your parents?
