This was a short trip, because I was there for the Travel Goods Show, but I still took time to do some of my favorite free things and also splurge on some food and attractions I wanted to get to. Donate some change or a few dollars, light a stick of incense and say a little prayer. Last month, I took one of my yearly trips to Vegas.

Two gallons is a bit much for us to drink before it goes bad, so I am performing an experiment. I poured what we won’t drink in time before it expires into 2-cup containers to freeze for future dishes. I’m only interested in food. Plasma donation: $350 –I took a break from donating plasma.

I think it is pretty obvious that I LOVE the food at WDW, ha! Did you know that the Disney Harvest program donates more than 400,000 pounds of unused, prepared food each year to feed the homeless of Central Florida? Speaking of Coca-Cola, Disney vacationers drink more than 75 million of them every year while at WDW!

When you can reuse or re-purpose an item, you are not only saving it from the landfills, but you are also saving the expense and energy which would have been expended when you recycle. I don’t freeze food in the used bags, but do use them for leftovers in the frig. We drink lots of coffee and buy the 3 pound tins.

We have a few made out of stainless steel that keep our drinks cold and are very durable. By doing this you save money and over 53 million trees and 56 billion gallons of water a year. This wastes energy and costs us money. A fridge will protect your food from spoiling at a temperature between 38 and 42 degrees F.

There is a lovely thrift store not far from my neighborhood that receives donations from the folks in the local golfing gated community. Endanger my heath with sub standard food, drugs or doctors. Plus, the styles that fit are usually made by the high end manufacturers and carried in exclusive (expensive) clothing stores.
