Another source of clutter with kids is gifts that well-meaning friends and relatives give. I’d much prefer that the kids have a stack of blocks to create with or a doll rather than a pretend vacuum, for instance. If something is cheap at a garage sale, I may buy it even if I’m not sure that I’ll use it.
