Brand name TVs. Practically every site I checked recommended waiting to buy brand name TVs until the electronics show in mid-January takes place. Most claimed that the holiday sales were of no-name TVs. These get donated to thrift stores or placed in consignment shops so you might keep checking your local stores for these.

Electronics TVs, mobile phones, computer paraphernalia, laptops, cameras and other gadgets can be sold as used or even broken. You can sell them for cash or for a donation to your favorite charity. Excess trash has been a common problem of all societies for decades, and recycling is a way to transform trash into something useful.

And rather than throw unused possessions away, donate to a thrift store or offer up on Freecycle.org. I’m not telling you to turn off your refrigerator, but computers, TVs, gaming systems, smart phone chargers are all things that are usually left plugged in when not in use. Recently, we were in need of a twin sized box spring.
