Who cooks at home anymore, many people eat out. When I was a kid, most preserved food stuffs either came in a can or a glass jar. While some foods are still packed in glass, most companies use plastic now. Typewriters (whiteout). When typewriters became unneeded, so did white out. Glass jars.

Growing up in the 1950?s

Prairie Eco-Thrifter

Growing up in the fifties made me everlastingly grateful for a number of things, such as hot running water, central air conditioning, automatic dishwashers, TV remote control, the internet, personal computers (typewriters really sucked – no backspacing!), Food/shopping. Fast food was rare. People cooked and ate at home.
