Schools usually only had one or two TVs available for the entire school. There were no day care centers – women stayed home and raised the kids. Working from home usually meant selling stuff door to door. Toni home perms were prevalent. Hair cuts were done at home by a family member.

Would you want to live in a one bath 2 bedroom home now with a family of 4 or 5? A TV in every room. Our parents had TVs (most of them), but typically only one per household. TV was family entertainment and watched as a family. Many homes today have multiple TVs, some have one in pretty much every room.
