Here are things that I remember using that we no longer need to keep around the house or community. Who cooks at home anymore, many people eat out. They were used to protect clothing while cooking – to keep grease splatters and spills contained on the apron. Used oil pans. Typewriters (whiteout).

Growing up in the 1950?s

Prairie Eco-Thrifter

Growing up in the fifties made me everlastingly grateful for a number of things, such as hot running water, central air conditioning, automatic dishwashers, TV remote control, the internet, personal computers (typewriters really sucked – no backspacing!), Most of us did not have air conditioned homes. Neighbors knew each other.
