Many reasons are given for this fact, including things like taking time off for children; picking low paying jobs; only working part time and yes, discrimination. Did you know that unless you get a masters degree you are likely to earn less than $65K a year for full time RN work? I studied psychology in school.

It was always in the back of my mind, a little brain worm that would tickle my thoughts of “what if” After a few years of attending college part time at night, I realized that I wasn’t getting what I wanted from it. I was getting the education but not the experience. It was just what I wanted.
