I had three baby showers when I was pregnant for my son–one from each side of the family and one from my co-workers. Babies grow so quickly that their babies only wore some outfits for a time or two before they outgrew them, so the clothes looked like new. There was very little I had to buy for my child after these showers.

We installed a filter for our drinking water, and now my family longer needs bottled water. Look for a consignment shop in town, visit Freecycle web site, or check the Classifieds before you go to the store to buy new. Even if you don’t have a lot of room, you can grow a container garden. Stop with the Bottled Water.

Never try to use non-canning jars to preserve your food – doing so could lead to dangerous (invisible) bacteria growing in your food. Please do not put your health or the health of your family at risk by not processing your food using the appropriate equipment. Proper canning jars are made so that the lids fully seal.
