It is a family friendly theme park with craftsmen, rides, shows, restaurants and play areas. Unlike most theme parks, parking is free (although you can pay for parking close to the entrance) and a free shuttle provides transportation to and from the entrance. Pretty steep in my book. Instead we paid $180 – a savings of $136.

Spirits are high, the decorations transport you, and the specialty food and beverage items are hard to top! I distinctly remember one family vacation during this time frame – the difference between crowd levels from the start and end of our trip was striking. The month ends with a steep decline in crowds. Can’t make it?
