I fixed Zoe’s red sweatshirt She works at Target, so she either has to wear a red Target vest or a red shirt, and I’m proud to say that she has thrifted a bunch of her red tops. I will say, GenZ is not afraid to thrift, and I love that! I found some red thread in my sewing box. And then I set up my sewing machine.

I fixed a thrifted hoodie This thrifted Vans hoodie sprouted a hole but mercifully, it was right on the side seam! I turned it inside out, used some matching thread from my sewing box, and closed up the hole. But I decided to be responsible and just use the one I already own.) That’s the best kind of hole for mending.

We do put up decorations (ones I buy at garage sales or thrift stores and reuse each year). If you sew, take off the buttons, zippers, lace, netting or whatever to use later. Free Kids Crafts has some ideas. No kids = no money on candy = no candy wrappers in the landfill. No kids = no parties or haunted houses = money saved.
