It would be so much fun to have a furniture rehab class with all of you. But I also want to encourage all of you by saying that no one ever taught me how to paint furniture. But no furniture! In 2007 or so, though, I got a nightstand from Freecycle, and I decided to try painting it. I hate using mineral spirits.

The term “sinking fund” was originally a business term used to designate a savings account where a corporation holds funds for the repayment of a debt in order to improve their liquidity. Setting up sinking funds and using them are two separate things, though. If you use $10 in coupons on a grocery purchase, add $10 to a sinking fund.
