Years ago, Mom introduced me to the idea of going to garage sales. People sell the darnedest things at their garage sales. Garage sales take time, you have to hit quite a few before you find the item you want or need. If you are in more of a hurry, find a thrift store instead. Typical garage sale prices are $.25

You also know that picking a location to store something isn’t always logical and that things can get out of place over time, even after you have spent time and effort to optimally organize them! Although I’m probably not the very best organizer in the world, we get along. I carried this idea to our garage.

He built his own garage. At garage sales, are you attracted to those still usable but slightly defective items that no one else wants? The first actual Repair Cafe in America was started by Peter Skinner (a Silicon Valley CEO) in Palo Alto CA as a non profit organization. He made his own electric lawnmower.

Apparently there are some simple rules when it comes to de-cluttering and re-organizing your work space. Have a big box ready to take the throw-away items and another for anything that is good enough to go to the local thrift store. What about the old refrigerator in the garage you only use when you have a party? Do I need it?
