Garage sales take time, you have to hit quite a few before you find the item you want or need. If you are in more of a hurry, find a thrift store instead. I love a bargain. My best finds.

I used an old seat cushion I had and wrapped it with brand new material from another garage sale to pretty it up and make it softer, then stacked new throw pillows I found at yet another sale for $.50 Outdoor bench (I refurbished it) $5.

Plan ahead and hit garage sales, but especially estate sales. Thrift stores are also a great place to shop. Depending on where you are, you will find tree lighting ceremonies, visits with Santa, fireworks, gingerbread villages to view, and many holiday drives to show off outdoor lighting. These make nice gifts too.
