I can remember quite a few years in college and grad school when my part-time jobs juuuuust barely covered my expenses (and sometimes not even that!) I haven’t done the math to pencil out when we’ll break even but I have a goal to track costs and “income” in 2024 to see where we stand right now.

Our long-term goal is to retire in our 40s, and the first step is to pay off this mortgage (in addition to recommended retirement investing). He wants to retire early so he can do more woodworking, electronic fixing, and maybe work at a winery or brewery part-time. I started simply doing free Youtube classes with a Walmart mat.
