It keeps the mold and mildew from growing. Things grow on your roof. Where ever there are warm moist summers, your roof can grow algae. However, when I looked closely at our shingles, I noted that there were tiny bits of moss starting to grow – but only in the areas with the algae. Your roof can be a host.
