Reuse your own decorations. Other treasured items we reuse every year include huge a mottled green glass ball ornament from my grandparents, a set of 1950′s angel candle holders from a favorite aunt and two 3 foot tall paper nutcrackers made by my kids in elementary school in the 1980′s.

As it turns out, the ingredients are pretty inexpensive and the instructions pretty simple. Petroleum jelly to slather on the inside of the mold, so you can get the concrete out and reuse the mold. Our local Walmart also had a cheaper version of a stepping stone kit. A mold to shape your garden stone to the shape you want.
