He wants to retire early so he can do more woodworking, electronic fixing, and maybe work at a winery or brewery part-time. It’s not hard for me (anymore) to avoid expensive stores or fast fashion sites such as Shein and Temu, and instead shop at thrift stores or use my local BuyNothing group.

Make it be known that that that there is nothing wrong in purchasing second-hand items from thrift stores, yard sales, or via classified ads or even online via places like eBay or Craigslist. You can even reward them with extra allowance with the money saved on gasoline and car upkeep. And vice versa!)
