There was the gas, the hotel, and the restaurants to pay for. We thought eating in restaurants was a main attraction of travel because you get to try local foods. However, most of the time, we only had money for the low cost restaurants, so they were all one greasy spoon after another. Use discounts on rental cars.

I use Bitdefender for both internet security and a VPN. Food trucks are a perfect way for everyone to get something they want, since there's usually more than one in an area, and get local food for less than sitting in a regular restaurant. When you don't have a rental car a great transportation system is important.

Ziploc bags You never know when you'll need to separate something from something else, but also when you want to take a bag of cookies with you or keep your wet bathing suit from getting your rental car seats soggy or have an emergency diaper situation. I have started replacing single-use bags with silicone Stasher bags.
