Growing up in the fifties made me everlastingly grateful for a number of things, such as hot running water, central air conditioning, automatic dishwashers, TV remote control, the internet, personal computers (typewriters really sucked – no backspacing!), Coupons were in the newspaper. Food/shopping. My radio was AM only.
