We live in the city, so we’re not allowed to hang our laundry outside. We have recently started making our own powdered laundry soap with three simple ingredients– Fels Naptha , washing soda, and borax. Don’t wash clothes until they’re truly dirty. Use mason jar containers. Hang clothes to dry.

I cut a heavy blue plastic trash bag into triangles, stapled them over a rope and hung the rope across the driveway to block those drivers from using it.
