Inevitably, some of the cheese is going to get stuck up in the straws, so I suggest using disposable, recyclable, paper straws for this. To assemble the eyeballs , press the olive piece into the hole, making sure the smooth part of the olive is facing out. I made all the eyeballs for this dish in about five minutes.
