I listen to a podcast called Wonderful where a married couple talk about "things that are good, things that we like, things that we're into" and I like to check in every once in a while and do the same, but when it comes to travel. It makes it easier to save on dining and allows you to enjoy being outside, too.

I have perfected my packing list and having a packing plan that works for me and makes life so much easier. I generally show up at my destination and take a trip to the store on the first day to shop for breakfast foods, because that's the easiest meal to make and the least exciting to me to eat out. We use this one.
