Starting January 2012, we set up an automatic withdraw to a new “vacation savings account” of $25 a week. Having the ”vacation savings account” is like a back-up plan so we don’t feel strapped while we’re there. It’s a tip I saw on Oprah years ago and IT WORKS!!

Swagbucks = $10 (2 - $5 gift cards). If I don’t use them for a trip, I save them for Christmas. It’s a quick and easy way to save a minimum of $1378 this year! Earn points redeemable for gift cards when you make purchases at participating restaurants, movie theaters, and gas stations (500 points = a $5 gift card).
