I bought the Swiffer Sweepervac because it was light weight and would be easier to use on a daily basis over my heavy vacuum cleaner. I didn’t bother sewing the squares to have neat edges, like I’ve seen on Pinterest. Now I don’t feel guilty when I use several squares daily to swiffer the floors in my house.

I got this dress at a thrift store a while back and it was floor length. The thing is…I can’t sew. It was eventually suggested that maybe I costume shows using rented pieces, or thrifted. Maybe not so much with the sewing when I was costuming… But still. I wasn’t GOING to sew, see I was going to use Stitch Witch.

We do put up decorations (ones I buy at garage sales or thrift stores and reuse each year). Bring in your slightly used, but in good shape costume and pick one from those others brought in – as a swap. Encourage your child to use their imaginations to come up with a costume out of materials on hand at home.
