Garage sales – I found a guitar for $5.00 once at a garage sale and bought it for my grandson. We rented our son’s alto saxophone while he took lessons in high school. Experimenting with musical instruments should be part of every child’s growing up experience, at least in my book. Find A Used Instrument.

I love to shop garage sales. Here is site that has tax free days by state listed for 2011. College students have the option of renting books now. There are multiple online sites that let students rent, buy used or sell books. One of my relatives did this for the four years their son was in school.
