When a building in our town went into foreclosure in 2012, we considered the opportunity to own. I manage the finances for our business and our family and by August 2013, I felt the weight of the situation. We paid our bills on time, never carried credit card debt from month to month, but in that moment we could not pay our bills.

How we got to six figures of non-mortgage debt: In the summer of 2012, we found an opportunity to purchase an office building for our small business.
