Today’s assignment: List your SMART financial goals. Earlier this year, my husband and I wrote a specific list of financial goals and named it Our Debt Freedom Plan. Prior this plan, we had set goals, but never before had we been so specific with a step by step approach. Is it to pay off your house?

It was a great weekend, except for one thing: my husband and I didn't have a much needed money talk. When my husband and I are focused on our goals , we nail them. But for the two of us to achieve our financial goals, we need to have money conversations and they need to be done regularly. Thanks for reading.

I was only bringing home a net income of $3,000 a month, so paying $1,000 each month towards my debt was a lot of money, and took a lot of sacrificing. What are the top 3 – 5 ways you found money to put towards debt. I also found small ways to earn extra money, specifically flipping yard sale finds for a profit on eBay.

It is one of our 2012 Financial Goals and I am starting to research it. Our goal is to get there by Fall 2012 or Spring 2013. Thanks for reading. We are raising two stinkerbelles who adore princesses and Mickey and Minnie. So, we're Saving for Disney! And we're really, really excited about it!

In September 2019, my husband and I accomplished our biggest financial goal in our almost 20 years of marriage. How we got to six figures of non-mortgage debt: In the summer of 2012, we found an opportunity to purchase an office building for our small business. In 2020, we still use and are thankful for Medi-share.

With tuition payments and debt payments we spent about $60,395 between January 2012 and March 2014 when we became completely debt free with two bachelor’s and two master’s degrees between us. One of the reasons we decided to start our own blog was to hopefully do for someone else what those financial blogs did for us.
